# nanodregg

nanodregg is a research system built around one language, Objective Bend.
An Objective Bend program is a *package*: a typed interface, a state type, methods, laws, keyed relations and typed holes.
An *object* holds a package and a state.
Objects live in a *World*, a shared state with one writer.
Every member re-executes every step of the World's log before accepting the World it produces.
Lean defines the language and the World, and the deployed writer and follower run that Lean, compiled.

The language is small and exact.
Its core has eighteen term formers, seven type formers and fifteen primitives.
Types are monomorphic, rows are canonical, and type equality is syntactic.
The checker is a total function, proved sound and complete for a declarative typing relation (`Lang/Proofs/Check.lean`, `inferE_iff_live`).
Programs run on one CEK machine under a tick budget.
A checked program never gets stuck (`Lang/Proofs/Sound.lean`, `checked_never_stuck`), and every way a run ends without a value is a named fault.

Two properties set Objective Bend apart from other ledger languages.
